Are you one of the hundreds of thousands of cannabis consumers residing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania? Do you believe that you deserve jail time just for having a little weed? Do you think your friends or family do? If the answer to that is “NO!” then join us on 4/19/17 at 11:30AM at the PA Capitol to rally for real marijuana law reform! We’re aiming for a minimum of 1,000 people to attend and show the PA Legislature that this issue must be taken seriously.
The major marijuana law reform groups (Keystone Cannabis Coalition, PhillyNORML, Pittsburgh NORML, Lancaster NORML, NEPA Cannabis Network, Pennsylvania Veterans for Medical Marijuana, PA for Safe Access, PA Cannabis Association) will rally to bring about swift change to our marijuana possession laws. Our aim is to have the Pennsylvania legislature decriminalize possession of small amounts of marijuana in 2017, leading to full legalization and regulation over the next couple of years. Specifically, in 2017, we are pushing for HB195. Written by Rep. Ed Gainey, this bill will make possession of small amounts of marijuana a summary offense with a maximum fine of $100.
Governor Tom Wolf has recently re-affirmed his support for decriminalization. He also re-affirmed his opposition to full legalization, claiming that Pennsylvania is not ready.

After the rally, members of the various groups will be lobbying their elected officials directly.
